Schnaitmann Grauburgunder Steinwiege® 2019

This Pinot Gris shines with golden yellow colour in the glass.

It has a subtle fragrance of fresh fruits: yellow apples and pears, young peach, lemon, and grapefruit, accompanied by notes of almonds, anis, hay flower and sautéed fennel.

The elegant, perfectly integrated acidity and moderate alcohol, in conjunction with the fine creaminess result in a balanced, complex taste with plenty of freshness. The slightly nutty structure sets accents. Steinwiege® is a protected brand for purebred wines, in VDP.Gutswein quality, of VDP-classified parcels.

In the first years of the winery many Pinot Noir vines were planted. Contrary to the top wines of the “Simonroth”- series, which are made from very old vines, this wine from the young vineyards was called the second cru - "young vines". The vines have become older, but the term has been preserved as a brand for the fresh Pinot Noir of the vinery.
