Charles Heidsieck Brut Reserve Champagne

The Brut Reserve boasts a deep golden hue. Delicate, vivacious and long-lasting bubbles are the result of a long, slow maturing process in chalk cellars. Thanks to 40% Reserve wines the blend offers a complex, elegant, voluptuous nose with a touch of freshly baked brioche, rich toasted notes and sun-drenched-fruits - mango, apricot and mirabelle plum - accented by dried fruits, pistachio and almonds.

On the Palate the texture is reminiscent of a crisp layer of nougatine on a velvety cream pastry, filled with plump red plums and ripe cherries. The selection of reserve wines gives the wine lushness. The finish unveils of praline and vanilla.

IT IS WITH BRUT RÉSERVE that the House has expresses the quintessence of its style. Particularly recognisable, this cuvée is the fruit of a unique blend that can be summarised with one equation: 60/40/10.

60: The number of Crus gone into a blend that is precise, stringent and tailor-made. The wines produced that year, a third for each varietal (Meunier, Charonnay, Pinot Noir) are vinified cru by cru, varietal by varietal in stainless steel vats.

40: A high proportion of 40% reserve wines, equally divided between Chardonnay, Pinot Noir to ensure the fine complexity and indulgence of the Brut Reserve.

10: The average age of the reserve wines, an exception in Champagne. Taken from the best crus from the best years, the wines placed in reserve are kept in vats for between 5 and 15 years, if not more, to develop finesse and their aromatic range.

Charles Heidsieck Rosè Reserve Champagne

A sophisticated powdery pink robe with luminous glints of wild rose. Delicate, vivacious bubbles are the result of an aging period of 48 months.

On the nose the subtle, yet complex nose reveals initial fragrances of home-made strawberry jam mixed with the fuitiness of vineyard peaches.

Warm velvety of gingerbread. On the palate the deep powerful mouthfeel offers a burst of strawberry, raspberry, and blackberry nestled in velvety whipped cream.

LIKE THE BRUT RÉSERVE, the Rosé Réserve is the result of meticulous attention and stands out for its unconventional character.

Complexity: 80% of the years wines are composed of equal portions of Meunier, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, while the 20% of reserve wines are made up 50% Pinot Noir and 50% Chardonnay. Each are vinified cru by cru varietal by varietal, in stainless steel vats.

Precision: To ensure the ideal balance of freshness and elegance on one hand and structure and complexity on the other, the cellar Master bides by a House principal, intentionally selecting reserve wines that are younger than those of the Brut Rèserve. The red reserve wines from the leading Pinot Noir terroirs, date from up to 5 years before the last harvest. Generosity: 5-6% of wines are vinified in red provide tannins and the fragrance of red fruits, a base upon which the Cellar Master will subtly develop a full-bodied voluptuous rosè.

THE GRAPE SELECTION OF THIS GREAT ROSÉ blend reflects the diversity and richness of the Champagne region. As Charles-Camille Heidsieck did in his time, the House strives first and foremost to highlight year after year the specificity of each cru, its potential for expression and its nuanced palette.

Charles Heidsieck Blanc de Blanc Champagne

Pale crystalline gold with the typical glints of the Chardonnay varietal. On the Nose the aromas of mature Chardonnay can be recognised initially: white peach candied citrus with notes of lime honeysuckle and fresh hazelnut, giving away subtle hints  of tangerine and lemon.

On the palate freshness and tautness mark this typically Charles generosity: The attack is pure and forthright, not aggressive but almost unconventionelly suave for a Blanc de Blanc, so often en characterised as being sharp rather than creamy. The harmonious finish offers surprising minerality and a slight salinity.

THE SPIRIT OF CHARLES, THE CHARACTER OF A GENTLEMAN.

Gentleman and entrepreneur in the audacious 19th century, Charles Heidsieck was heir to a Champagne fortune, a rebel with an extraordinary thirst for adventure. At age 29, he founded a Champagne House in his image: authentic, distinguished and which stands out among all others. In keeping with this spirit, his grandson Charles-Marcel created a Blanc de Blancs, consolidating the style of a House that manifests itself across all varietals.

100% CHARDONNAY, TAUT AND FULL-BODIED. GENEROUS AND FULL-BODIED: an aromatic complexity that is the hallmark of Charles Heidsieck wines.

ELEGANT TAUTNESS: a velvety effervescence, thanks to 25% of reserve wines and prolonged ageing in the chalk cellars.
