Jülg Spätburgunder Sonnenberg 2018

The Spätburgunder Sonnenberg offers intensive aromas of red and dark berry fruits, especially cherry, black currant, blackberry and blueberry. Combined with an elegant spice and subtle roasted aromas. The wine is supported by a salty, cool minerality, which reflects the limy terroir of the location. Power, nevertheless much finesse with a high complexity. Our Grand cru wines form the absolute top of our quality hierarchy. They are impressive, exciting with an incomparable taste and a special ageing potential. From the best sites of our oldest vineyards on the German and French sides, especially rich in limestone marl and red sandstone.

Jülg Spätburgunder Wormberg 2017

Our Grand cru wines form the absolute top of our quality hierarchy. They are impressive, exciting with an incomparable taste and a special ageing potential. From the best sites of our oldest vineyards on the German and French sides, especially rich in limestone marl and red sandstone.

The southeastern exposed vineyard, protected by the nearby Hochwald forest, has been part of the Sonnenberg since 1971. Lime marl soil above limestone rock gives the wines an immense power and provides spice and tension: perfect conditions for the Pinot Noir.
